Queensland First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) 2025-26

The Queensland Government offers a $15,000 grant for eligible first home buyers purchasing or building a new home valued up to $750,000. This grant was increased from $10,000 to $15,000 in recent updates.

  • New homes: Up to $750,000 — $15,000 grant
  • Existing homes: Not eligible for FHOG
  • Must be: First home buyer, Australian citizen/PR, 18+ years old
  • Occupancy: Must live in the property for at least 6 months continuously

QLD Stamp Duty Concessions (First Home Buyers)

  • Full exemption: Homes up to $500,000
  • Concessional rate: Homes between $500,001 and $550,000
  • Vacant land: Exemption up to $250,000; concession $250,001–$400,000
  • Principal place of residence: Must be owner-occupied for at least 12 months
