Victorian First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) 2025-26

The Victorian Government offers a $10,000 grant for eligible first home buyers purchasing or building a new home valued up to $750,000. Regional Victoria gets an additional top-up.

  • New homes: Up to $750,000 — $10,000 grant
  • Regional Victoria: Additional $10,000 top-up ($20,000 total) for new homes up to $750,000
  • Existing homes: Not eligible for FHOG
  • Must be: First home buyer, Australian citizen/PR, 18+ years old
  • Occupancy: Must live in the property for at least 12 months continuously

VIC Stamp Duty Concessions (First Home Buyers)

  • Full exemption: Homes up to $600,000
  • Concessional rate: Homes between $600,001 and $750,000
  • Off-the-plan: Additional concession for off-the-plan purchases
  • Principal place of residence: Must be owner-occupied for at least 12 months
